It all started with a simple note, a DM on Instagram to be specific. “Hello my name is Anna. I’m a nurse over at Mt. Sinai Brooklyn…my days are long and exhausting…You end up feeling dizzy, parched and hungry.” Nurse Anna is an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nurse and is part of the amazing, dedicated team of people at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Brooklyn, NY, that are on the frontlines working tirelessly every day. Nurse Anna’s firsthand account about what it’s like working on the frontlines with all Covid-19 positive patients day in and day out touched our hearts. We felt inspired to say thank you with nutritious and delicious treats, so we supplied Nurse Anna and her healthcare hero co-workers with a Milk & Cookies Break on May 27th.
We donated 240 servings of Better Than Milk, (while social distancing and being sure to follow all proper CDC safety protocols of course!), for the entire shift to enjoy during their break.
Thank you to our brand partner MI-DEL for being the ying to our yang and supplying their tasty, organic and gluten-free cookies. We hope that we were able to bring a smile to the staff’s faces, and from the looks of these photos we sure did! The staff kept saying they’d never been so excited about a Milk & Cookies Break in their adult lives!
We are in awe and so full of gratitude to the entire staff at Mt. Sinai Brooklyn and all the other healthcare workers who are on the frontlines every day. We are so happy we could do our part in providing them with a Milk & Cookies Break, and share a few kind words of encouragement and smiles before they put their capes back on to help those in need.💙🙏💙
